Shaping plans.
In court, in legal decisions and in contract drafting: we represent your interests and support your matter with a clear focus on your objective.
Discuss your matterTHINKING ACROSS DISCIPLINES
Legal questions rarely stand alone. For companies, business owners, private individuals and institutions, we consider the law, facts and evidence alongside commercial consequences and personal interests. This creates an approach suited to your situation. How we involve additional expertise
01 / LITIGATION & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Court
representation
Enforcing claims. Defending proceedings. Representing your position in the process.
Your interests in court.
We represent you when you wish to enforce claims in court or defend a claim. We prepare proceedings, draft submissions and applications, and represent your position at the hearing. We develop the litigation strategy together with you.
Claims & defence
We review the facts, documents and evidence, assess your legal position and prepare the claim or defence. We take procedural deadlines and options for interim relief into account in our preparations.
Hearings & evidence
We conduct written exchanges with the court and opposing party, make applications and attend court appointments. We represent you at hearings and assist during the taking of evidence.
Decisions & enforcement
We explain judgments and court settlements and discuss possible further steps. To give effect to enforceable claims, we also undertake enforcement by agreement.
You have been served with a claim, or a demand remains unpaid despite a request. We review your documents, discuss the approach and, once instructed, undertake court representation.
02 / ASSESSING & DECIDING
Advice
& strategy
Guidance on a specific question. Support for decisions with significant consequences.
A sound basis
for your decision.
The starting point is what you want to achieve. We review documents, assess the legal framework and identify information still needed for the evaluation. We explain opportunities, risks and any urgency clearly.
On this basis, we discuss your options. We connect your legal position with what can be achieved in practice. We can provide a focused assessment or ongoing support for business or personal plans.
What we undertake
- Legal assessment of the initial position
- Review of documents and existing claims
- Assessment of options and risks
- Preparation for important decisions
- Ongoing legal support
What the work aims to achieve
A clear assessment, prioritised options and agreed next steps. Whether a conversation, a written opinion or a detailed analysis is appropriate depends on your instructions.
A company is changing how it works with employees or business partners. We assess the affected contracts and legal questions and develop the legal basis for the decision.
03 / STRUCTURING & IMPLEMENTING
Contracts
& transactions
Reviewing and drafting agreements. Supporting plans from first draft to implementation.
Agreements that
support your plans.
We review, draft and negotiate contracts that reflect how the parties actually work together. We consider rights and duties, responsibilities and potential changes in context, including the consequences of termination or a dispute.
For business acquisitions, investments and other transactions, we support legal due diligence, contract negotiations and the agreed implementation steps. Personal plans, such as an employment contract, a property decision or succession arrangements, also require carefully coordinated agreements.
What we undertake
- Reviewing and revising contracts
- Drafts, amendments and supplementary agreements
- Contract negotiations and coordination between the parties
- Legal due diligence for transactions
- Support with completion and implementation
What the work aims to achieve
Clear provisions and a set of contracts whose components work together. We explain significant changes and open points so you can make informed decisions about terms and compromises.
A shareholding arrangement is being restructured. We review the contractual basis, negotiate the legal terms and coordinate related agreements. Any required notarial steps are considered separately.
ACROSS PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINES
Your matter.
Considering the whole picture.
Legal questions often also involve commercial, technical or personal issues. Where additional expertise is useful, we help select suitable professionals, for example for valuations, evidence or international matters, and incorporate their findings into our legal work.
We involve other professionals in consultation with you. We clarify tasks, instructions and costs in advance. Mabel Law is responsible for the legal work; external professionals are responsible for their respective services.
WORKING TOGETHER
Clear instructions.
A shared understanding.
We begin with your matter, the parties involved and known deadlines. We check whether we can accept instructions and agree the tasks, approach and fees with you. We discuss the expected work before you instruct us.
While working together, we explain significant developments and agree upcoming decisions with you. If your matter or the scope of work changes, we adjust the instructions together.
BEFORE INSTRUCTING US
Your questions.
A clear start.
Can I instruct you just to review a contract?
Yes. You can approach us with a defined task, such as reviewing a contract or a particular clause. We clarify which documents and background information are needed and what deliverable should be agreed. Further negotiation or representation is agreed separately.
Do I need to know which area of law applies?
No. Start by describing what has happened or what you plan to do. We identify the legal questions and consider links between practice areas. Our services cover civil law, business law and public law. They do not include tax or criminal law.
Can we also work together throughout Germany?
Yes. Advice can be provided by telephone or video call. We agree how to exchange the necessary documents. In-person appointments at our office in Bargteheide are available by arrangement. The most appropriate way to work together also depends on the task and the proceedings involved.
Can you represent me in existing court proceedings?
Please also contact us if a claim has already been served or proceedings are underway. To assess taking over, we need the existing submissions, court correspondence, and details of deadlines and hearing dates. We clarify whether and to what extent we can represent you. We agree any transition from an existing engagement with you.
How are other professionals involved?
We first clarify which additional expertise your matter needs. We agree selection, tasks, instructions and costs with you. Advisers you have already engaged can also be involved. Mabel Law coordinates the points of interaction within the agreed scope and brings the findings together for the legal work.
How are costs clarified?
Before you instruct us, we discuss the task, expected work and basis of fees. For proceedings, we include possible additional costs and cost risks in the discussion. Whether legal expenses insurance or other funding is available is assessed against the specific requirements.
What matters in a time-sensitive case?
Tell us about known deadlines, documents served and upcoming appointments when you first contact us. For urgent matters, please call. An enquiry alone does not mean that we have accepted instructions or responsibility for monitoring deadlines; this must be expressly agreed with the firm.
